November Roses

This is such a wonderful time of the year. Things have cooled down and many of the earths beauties are beginning to show just what in in them. Sarah has about 10 different rose plants beside the garage where I keep the truck. They are blooming very nicely now. Each showing its own color and texture. What a beautiful way God has painted the small things of life.

The leaves have turned different colors and have mostly blown from the trees, however, the stalwart water oak have not lost their green leaves. They do not like to be like the other trees in the area. They are a very hard wood and sometimes rot from the middle out.

What a wonderful world to be living in. Nothing and No one the same.

Picnic time in November

Oct, Nov, December are months that allow us to enjoy our dinner on the veranda. It is not to hot and not cool enough to keep the windows and doors closed. We enjoy the "picnic" feeling of eating out of doors. However, with the Christmas feeling and decorations it just seems out of place. Sarah made some good "BLT salad" for this meal with mini franks and potatoes. It was delicious and an enjoyable evening. To top it off, we had apple pie and coffee. Such a wonderful day to be alive and enjoying our senior years.

What a wonderful Thanksgiving

Nate, Lorrie, Johnathan and Jula had a wonderful Thanksgiving
Rod, Pam and ZR, or Zeblin, had a great time with family

Being with family and friends is so good, even if it has to be by internet.

Our Christmas Tree - 2007

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas,
Now that Thanksgiving is over,
And the turkey and ham are eaten
There is a nice air that will hover,
Even with all the fuss.

The new Ford Ranger

Taking my time and trying to get another truck like the one above, we settled on this one
2004 Ford Ranger
It is silver and a very plain one.
I wanted something that did not have carpet on floor or cloth seats
no cassette or CD player, just a radio and even ask for one without AC but it must have a heater for these cool mornings here in Florida.

It has a gray interior with my wolf mats on the floor.
Thanks to the children for those nice mats

Now it is sitting in the place of the 1996 Izzsu. I hope it does as well as its predecessor

Old Faithful

This is the 1996 Izzsu, Hombre, that I have had for the past six years. It has been a wonderful means of transportation. Getting me to and from work and the odd jobs that I needed to have done around the house. However, some things have been aging on it and like the rest of us, it had to have a few things taken care of. I decided to put it to rest and trade it in for another five speed. Here it is sitting outside the garage before going its new place of abode

It is so much like the S-10 model. Many times they would ask me if it was a Chevy. It was really a good truck. And a sad feeling comes over us as we get ready to part with it. However, as of November 14, 2007... .... it is gone.

Cool Early Morning

It was a very nice and cool morning with all the mist settling in. This is taken from the west side of the house and the sun is peeking through all that mist. You can even notice the dew drops on the clothes line. A beautiful morning here in Central Florida

A Wonderful Visit

When we were visiting the children in October, we had a wonderful suprise, our former studens came to visit with us. Daryl and Sarah (Groff) Yoder. That was a wonderful time together, catching up on years that have gone by so quickly. Thanks guys for coming by.

Cool Weather has Come to our Area

Since the temperature has dropped down into the 60's during the night it is time to get out the flannel sheets and enjoy some warm sleeping. With the windows open and the breeze blowing, sleeping between the flannels is great.
