OUR FIRSTBORN IS 39...WOW

Happy Birthday, Lorrie Denise, Mother and I can remember the wonderful day you came into our lives. It was wonderful. We have never been ashamed of you and your choices in life. So many things have happened in these 39 years. Your childhood and the times we would play and enjoy a good time. Then came your teen years, they were wonderful. The best time of our lives. Helping you to mold your life for a wonderful future. Then came the day when you married Nate. He has added much to our family. Then came the grandchildren, wow, they are so great. Life has been so good to you and you have blessed our life so much. We are so glad that you are our daughter and we love you.

MY MIRACLE FLOWERS

This is the Loquat tree in the back yard...under it is my purple flowers that are very unique...they bloom in the morning and die in the afternoon and then do the same thing the next day.

They are nice to have ... you know what they are, let me know... they bloom in the am and die in the afternoon, new ones come the next day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAKE

This is the cake that Sarah got me for my birthday. It is a Black Forest Cake. Chocolate of course

Eating it is more fun that seeing it. I could hardly wait to get my fork into that cake. It was delicious. It is so good getting older. The cake keeps getting bigger to put all the candles on.

OUR THIRD PINEAPPLE.....hum hum good

Took pineapple from the stalk and brought it in the house to be skinned. Notice how nice and yellow it is and a nice green top to plant

This is the part of the pineapple that I will plant in a large pot so I can bring it to the porch when it gets cold. I make sure they get plenty of sun in the summertime. They like full sun. The ground will come up to the bottom of the green stem.

Started to take the hull off and show you how nice and yellow it is on the inside. Be sure to take the core out of the middle before you eat. If not it will be so hard to chew.

Here are a few pieces for you to taste before I put it in the cool refrigerator. In case you can not reach it, this one is so sweet since we left it on the stalk longer until it was riper and had more yellow.
